Frequently Asked Questions

What is physiotherapy and how can it help me?

A physiotherapist is a university trained and licensed health professional who works to help you reduce pain and restore mobility when you are injured, recovering from surgery or treatment, or suffering from a chronic condition. After diagnosis, the physiotherapist will prescribe a series of treatments (see Services) that may include a home exercise component.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. While many of our patients do come as medical referrals, you are welcome to come to our clinic on your own.

How many treatments will I have to have?

After a thorough assessment and diagnosis your physiotherapists will prescribe a course of treatment. It is difficult to predict in advance exactly how many treatments are needed since there are a number of factors ranging from the severity of the injury of condition that needs treatment to the strength and wellness of the patient. Your physiotherapist will continue to communication your progress with you each step of the way.
